1. What RetainMuscle is — and is not

RetainMuscle is a nutrition tracking tool. It helps you set and hit a daily protein target, record what you eat, and see your own patterns over time.

It is not a medical device, a healthcare provider, a diagnostic tool, or a source of medical, pharmaceutical or dietetic advice. It does no drug-interaction checking — if you enter other medications, that information is stored as context only, and nothing looks at it for safety.

Never change your medication, dose, or treatment because of anything in this app. Those decisions belong with your prescriber. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call emergency services.

Targets the app calculates are estimates from population-level formulas and cannot account for your individual medical circumstances. Higher protein intake is not right for everyone — kidney disease is one well-known example. Talk to a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for what happens under your account. The app's calculations are only as good as what you put into them. One account per person.

3. Founding membership — a pre-order

3.1 What you are buying

Founding membership is $29 per year, down from a regular price of $69. It includes full access when RetainMuscle launches, your founding rate locked in for as long as you stay a member, and early input into what gets built.

The product is not finished at the time of sale. We are not going to pretend otherwise.

3.2 Delivery date

Launch date — to be confirmed We have not published a delivery date yet, and we are not going to invent one. Until we name a date here, nobody is being charged. When we do name one, section 3.3 below says exactly what happens if we miss it.

3.3 If we are late

If we are not going to deliver by the date above, we will email you before that date with a new date and a clear option to cancel for a full refund. You will not have to chase us, and you will not have to justify wanting your money back.

3.4 Refunds

Full refund, on request, any time before launch. No questions, no retention pitch. After launch: full refund within the first 30 days; after that, cancel any time to stop future renewals and keep access through the period you paid for. The full policy is on the Refund page.

4. Subscription and automatic renewal

This subscription renews by itself and charges your card again without asking. And stopping it is one email to support@retainmuscle.app saying “cancel” — actioned the same day, no reason needed. That is the whole of it, said plainly and up front. Here is how it works in detail.

• Your membership renews automatically every year at your founding rate until you cancel.
• Before you can pay at all, the checkout screen states the amount, the frequency, and the fact that it renews, right next to the button — and you have to tick a box confirming you have read it. The box is never pre-ticked, and the payment cannot start without it.
• We will email you a reminder before each renewal charge, with the amount and the date.
• You can cancel from your Account page, or by sending one email to support@retainmuscle.app. Cancelling takes no more steps than joining did. No phone call, no retention flow, no “are you sure” maze. An email cancels you and we action it the same day.
• Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
• If we change the price we will give you notice and the chance to cancel first. Your founding rate does not increase while your membership is continuous.

5. Acceptable use

Don't break the law with it, reverse-engineer or scrape it, resell access, upload other people's personal or health information, or try to get at another user's data.

6. Your content

Your meals, photos, weights and notes are yours. You give us only the permission we need to store and process them in order to run the service for you. We do not claim ownership, and we do not use your content to advertise to you or to anyone else.

7. Third-party trademarks

Ozempic® and Wegovy® are registered trademarks of Novo Nordisk A/S. Zepbound® and Mounjaro® are registered trademarks of Eli Lilly and Company. RetainMuscle is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with either company. We use these names only to refer to the medications our members take.

8. Availability

We aim to keep RetainMuscle running but cannot guarantee it is never down. If we shut the service down entirely, we will give notice and refund the unused part of your membership.

9. Disclaimers and limits on liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Governing state — to be confirmed, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before you file anything, please email us — we would much rather just fix it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will email you before it takes effect. If you don't accept it you can cancel, and if the change materially disadvantages you part-way through a paid year, you can ask for a pro-rata refund.
